Hello, my name is Jody Weaver.

I started showing dogs when I was 5 years
old.  My Grandfather
ran and bench-
showed American Foxhounds.  He would
run his dogs in the trials during the
morning.  Then in the evening there was
the bench show, which was my favorite
part.  I would get my dog on the bench
with one hand under his chin, and the
other brushing his tail up and down. I was
in my element.  Even though my head was
barely visible, I was having the time of my
life!!
I started showing AKC Registered dogs
when I was 14. Over the years, I have
shown many breeds of dogs including
English Springer Spaniels, Chows,
Pekingeses, Pomeranians, Great Danes,
Bulldogs, Pugs, Norfolk Terriers, Brussels
Griffons, and Poodles.
My first breed and the first love of my life
was and still is the Brussels Griffons.  My
best friend, Sheila, and I bred and
showed over 100 Griffons to their
championships.  Our kennel name was
Wee-Ones.  Sheila and I went to shows
every weekend and we had 5 Wee-Ones
Griffons in the top 10 at one time. Those
were the good old days!  I sure miss
them.
Life sent me in a different direction, the
Poodles.  My start in Poodles has been an
interesting one.  My first Poodle, a
beautiful white standard, is named
Savannah.  She is what I would call a dog
no one wanted.  She had been in several
homes.  When I got her, she was sharing
a kennel with a German Sheph
erd.  She
looked so sad.  I asked the person that
owned her what she was going to do with
her and she said that she had no plans for
her.  I asked if I could grow her hair out
and show her.  She accepted my proposal
and the rest is history!
With the help of Bonnie Datema,
Savannah finished her championship very
quickly and is now my loving house dog.  I
promised her when I got her that she
would live with me forever, never to be
shuffled from home to home.
Needles to say I was hooked.  I decided
that I wanted a Toy Poodle to show.  I
started looking closely at the Toy's at the
shows.  I decided that the type of Poodle
that I liked and wanted had to come from
a Breeder that line-bred as I wanted them
to look like little cookie-cutters of each
other.  I found what I was looking for in
the beautiful Bellview Poodles.  My first
Toy Poodles and my foundation comes
from Bellview.
I have 3 girls from Bellview and they are
producing beautiful puppies bred to the
georgeous boys at Hosanna. Patty
Stabler, a true friend, has given me the
opportunity to show and breed to some of
the most beautiful Poodles.
I do not have a kennel. All of the dogs,
both mine and the clients, are raised in
the house, mostly in the family room,
which is where we spend a vast majority
of our time. This is where we watch
television, eat, and play with the dogs.
They are constantly under a watchful eye
and loving hand.
I do not carry a big string of dogs as it is
just my daughter-in-law, Misty,and me
that grooms and does the brush-ups at
the shows. Our limit is 4 toys, 2
miniatures, and 1 standard. This
guarantees all of our dogs look their best
before they enter the ring. The dogs are
never left unattended at the show site or
the vehicle, they are with us at all times.
OUR HOUSEHOLD IS NON-SMOKING!!
The dogs are exercised in my very large
double fenced back yard. Conditioning
and exercise are very important to us,
and to the overall health and well being
of the dogs. They go outside every 2
hours to play and do all the things that
dogs love to do. These are things that
make for a healthy mind and body.
I feed only holistic dry dog food. I also
cook for the dogs. They get a variety of
meats including chicken, turkey, beef,
liver, hearts, rice, pasta, and mixed
vegetables. I have been accused of
feeding my dogs better than most people
feed their kids!

My handling prices are subject to breed
type. Please call for pricing or
email me.
